20 Sep Celebrating 5 Years of Dentistry
We can’t quite believe it but we have now been open for 5 years! So many changes have occurred since then….
We opened in 2013 with a team of only three – Dentist Kenny, Practice Manager Sam and receptionist Jude. Over the years we have increased our opening hours and also our team. Now our opening hours include a late night and Saturday mornings to give more flexibility for our customers.
Beth came back to work with us in 2017. She had worked with us before – starting training as a dental nurse before getting the opportunity to go off to Leeds University to train as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist. She looks after our patient’s gums – an extremely important job as the gums are the foundations of the mouth and they need to be kept healthy. Beth is Kenny’s daughter and so it is a real family affair!
As the clinical staff grew, so did the need for support team and so we now operate with 3 part-time nurses and two receptionists. Kelly is due to qualify as a dental nurse very soon (unfortunately she was badly let down by her previous trainer/assessor and has been delayed in qualification but fingers crossed she won’t be much longer!) We’re sure there will be some celebrations when it happens.
Our patient list has grown from 0 to 1, 750 and we have continue to accept between 30 and 40 new patients per month – we are so lucky that our existing client base continue to recommend us to their friends and family. We now see customers local to Long Sutton and some are travelling from Boston, Norfolk, Peterborough and Stamford.
We shall be celebrating our 5th birthday on Thursday 11th October – so if any of our valued customers can come along for some drinks and nibbles we would love to see them. Just give us a call to let us know that you are coming so that we can cater for you. It will be a chance to sit and chat in a relaxed atmosphere without seeing us for check-up or treatment so should make for a lovely evening!
And so, to the future, we hope that we will continue to provide high standards of clinical care to our patients who have become more like friends to us over the past 5 years.
We want to thank you all for your continued custom and look forward to seeing you all at your next visits.
