11 Nov New Surgery and Consultation Room at Long Sutton Dentistry
Well it seems like a long time coming but we have finally finished the set up for our 3rd surgery and our replacement consultation room.
Promec http://promecdental.com our cabinet and dental equipment fitters have been fantastic as ever and managed to keep disruption to a minimum during the build works. I had a particular concern about the heavy drilling in the concrete floor to get the services to our newly installed chair which is fantastic for ease of access for our many patients that have a disability. I had worried that Promec would have to dig a channel in the floor from the new surgery and across the floor of our beautiful restroom into the service cupboard, but they managed to persuade their apprentice to crawl behind the enclosed toilet to lay the pipework thus saving lots of mess and disruption, phew.
As with any expansion or building works there are snags to be found and systems to change to get back to the usual smooth running and we are no exception.
The reception area has been a bit manic and creating a bottleneck on the desk and our brand new digital xray sensor suddenly stopped working…
Both issues are being addressed with the sensor company sending out a replacement and plans to add another computer terminal by utilising our laptop.
This is our temporary arrangement while we are having part of the worktop from the original reception desk modified by MG Dales http://www.dalesjoinery.co.uk to create continuity between the 2 appointment booking areas:
